Information you provide us
‍Account information: When you sign up, you provide us with your phone number, full name and email address.

Billing information: We may also collect payment information, including your payment card number and associated billing information, and other profile information you upload to your account.

Financial details: You may provide us with details about your spending, such as merchant names, costs, transaction descriptions on the transaction itself, and budget names and amounts.
Information collected via technology
Device Information:Â We collect technical information associated with the device(s) you use to access our services, including information related to your browser and operating system, IP address (the Internet address of your computer), unique device identifiers, and other information such as your device type.

Financial Information: When you use our service, we collect information about you when you connect your registered account with us to financial institutions and other third-party data sources (“Financial Data Sources”) or when you otherwise provide us with access to information from those Financial Data Sources. When you authorize a link to your bank via Habitual, we are able to sync information from these Financial Data Sources and collect your Financial Information including your account balance, transactions, and holdings. We do not store your personal bank credentials anywhere on our server. We only have read-only access to your account; we are not able to make changes to your bank accounts. We may use third-party data sources to assist in collecting and syncing your information, including Financial Information, from Financial Data Sources, and by connecting your Habitual account to a Financial Data Source, you agree to all applicable third-party sources’ terms and conditions and privacy policies.

Usage Data: As you use the app, we have analytics engines running which will collect information about how you are using the site and information about your device, browser, and IP address. We do not send any personally identifiable information to these analytics engines, meaning they will not be able to connect your data to your name or email address.

Email messages: In order to provide enhanced services, we use automated software to identify merchant-related emails in Gmail inboxes that you connect to Habitual so that we can display within the app information about specific transactions you have made, merchants you have engaged with in the past, and other related information. Note that by connecting email inboxes or transferring emails to Habitual, no humans will have access to the content of your email messages unless you specifically allow this type of access.
We are currently under review by an independent third-party auditor to take a look at how Habitual uses and protects your email information, in accordance to meet
Google’s standards. Habitual adheres to
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do NOT use this information o provide you with marketing or advertising from other stores or services.
Email Tracking Pixels: We will periodically send you emails as you engage with our product. These emails contain a tracking pixel which will let us know if you have opened the email. We use this information to analyze how our users are responding to our communication efforts and to ultimately improve the service for you.
Facebook Tracking Pixel: On our Marketing Site, we are running a Facebook Tracking Pixel in order to run re-targeting ads. This means if you have visited our website in the past, we may show you ads on Facebook. We do NOT participate in the Advanced Matching feature that uses your personal information on Facebook to match with your activity on our site.
